My new knife. Carbon Steel, 3 5/8" blade with just enough curve to aid in skinning. 7 1/8" overall. Curly Ash handle with a poured pewter bolster. Small and lightweight with enough blade and purchase to handle field work on Deer and not too large for small game.

Check if there is a typo in coyoteforge.com.
When I got in touch with Dan he didn't have a website. I called him. We discussed what I wanted and he made up drawings for my approval. We contacted via PM's on another forum. His card came with the knife today. To be honest I never noticed the website was on the card. My guess is the website lapsed. Dan is retired and makes a limited number of knives to order.

Man, that is CLASSY!

I love the "experienced" look and the nostalgic pewter hilt-pieces on the scales. This guy has an eye for class and classIC.

I love his leather-work ideas - very nice touches in the back-sewn sheath and the antler slide.

They say now that hominids have been using something or another as a cutting tool for as much as two million years now. It's amazing how many try to improve on the basic design as evolved since the iron age yet failed miserably, but this fella is GOOD. I'd love to be that good at something - ANYTHING.
