I ate there just after the turn of the year. General Tso's Chicken and all the trimmings. 'Chinaman' is the only guy around here who does that right.

In the old days, before the turn of the century, both Sing's and Carlin shop were called 'Chinaman's".

I didn't spend any time in Elko other than a quick trip from time to time.
I guess people weren't so PC back then, cause everyone called them that and everyone knew where you were speaking of depending on what you were going for.

I might just have a fondness for Tso's because of that place.
I remember the Burgers too they were like 1/3rd pound [maybe more] and had about everything on them.
as a teenage boy it was just about the right amount of burger for lunch.

Welcome, lots to like about the Ozarks. I spend some time there since I'm only about 70 miles from the Missouri line and my Son lives in the Joplin/Carthage area.

Thank you all for the welcome.

Allen, it is indeed a pleasure to have found this forum. I believe I will be spending a bit of time here.

O2, my wife and I have found it to be true. We love the forested country, and especially the people. Our place is about 30-40 straight line miles from where my Dad was born, and not excessively far from where I was born in southern Oklahoma. More snow would be the only thing I might ask for.

Shy, I understand frigid. It has been nice here for a few days, but heading for the zeros again next week.
