I am a member of several of the other forums. I have been casting for the last 18 years and have been reasonably successful with it.

I'm looking forward to learning and participating here.

Thanks,
Jeff

Let's try photos
maybe it will work

Welcome to the forum.

Photos worked fine. I love me some CZ. I have a 75B and it is a great shooter.
Tell us a bit about the rifle.

Hi Brad,
Thanks for responding instantly to my first post.

The rifle started out as a 24-47 Serbian Mauser. Intermediate action length large ring 98. It's still with the original 8mm military barrel, cut down to 20.5". My machinist buddy and I built the scope mount from a picatinny (sp?) base that was flat on the bottom. Milled it to fit the barrel contour. Drilled and tapped with four screws. Re-soldered the original front sight and drilled and tapped for the Williams peep. Timney trigger. Cerrokote. Cut down and sanded out original military stock. Glass bedded.

I have four 8 mm moulds. One BRP and three NOE.

Very accurate at 100 yards.

JRR,

I am also a fan of the 8X57 mm Scout.

My Burris 2 X Scout Scope Fantastic Optics !

I like to keep about 300 or so of my IDEAL 323471's on hand at all times.
My 8X57mm Scout rifle simply loves this bullet.

My favorite load of 12.3 grs. of Alliant Unique , with the IDEAL, 323471, sized to .325 ". The bullet has my own .014 " thick AL gas checks.

I couldn't be happier with my rifle.

that cera-kote looks nice.
I'm getting ready to finish off my oldest girls rifle using that on the barrel and action.
hopefully it fits in our stove.

your already 2 pictures ahead of me.

Your guys' guns are so nice, I'm going to have to get a second job if I want to play with you'all.
Seriously, I have a very similar pistol, CZ85 and I love that gun.

the gun I'm talking about above is a sporterized 7.7 jap with all the original metal.
the stock has been changed, and it's been drilled and tapped.
the Bushnell scope on it costs double what the rifle cost.
the beauty of this reloading and casting business is you can get those unwanted rifles to shoot groups as good as a top dollar hunting rifle will.
and you can still take them hunting.
a 7.65 argie, and 7.7 jap loaded just above 30-30 velocity's will still smoke a deer a fast as anything I have ever seen.
we were using homemade bullets with a core and soft nose cast through the middle of some old refrigerant tubing I found in a garbage pile.

It ain't that all our guns are all that nice, it's that we don't usually post pictures of our ugly guns ;)

Except Brad. I don't think he owns any ugly guns.
