Ho, Ho, Ho.........MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!
Santa dropped by a bit early for me.
I went to the post office this morning.
A nice bullet mould was in my mail box.
This was purchased on the recent NOE 20% off sale.
Now I need the rain to stop and warm up some so that
I can get outside and cast with my new mould.

Want to make any early predictions ? ? ?
I'll start out testing this one in my Handi Break open 30-30,
My Ruger # 1 , 308 Win. and my T/C Venture 30-06.

Yeah...... The bullet was designed strictly as an easy-peasy, no-problem powder coat slug for .300 Blackout semi-autos, hence the nose being undersized. I offered my suggestions to significantly alter the design they were kicking around, but they were mis-interpreted for the most part and the bullet drawing that had my name on it is mostly wrong and will not work well for the intended purpose. The body needs to be undersized too for that purpose, but even though I did all the pound casts, actually have a .300 Blackout chamber drawing, and have been shooting PC in his ARs for years, they still chose to go off into left field with it. If it sucks, I'm sorry, I tried to make this right because I really wanted the mould myself, but so it goes. The good news, Ben, is it might actually sorta work for what you want, especially in the .308s.

The gas check shank is way too short to ever be useful. It's also tapered, yuck. I don't know how they managed to screw that up.

The leade angle is something like 6.8° per side, it was supposed to be 1.5° per side (3° INCLUDED angle) to match the Blackout throat, but trig is too hard for some people.

The body diameter is listed at .310" which means it will probably cast .311" with wheelweights. I spec'd the body at .309".

I'd say load the bevel-base version with 6.4 grains of Titegroup for your .308, seat to lightly engrave (or park them in the throat, the nose probably won't get any rifling marks), two coats of BLL, and a rifle primer. Don't be afraid to shoot them at .3095" or .310". I bet you get bugholes out of them.

Might make for a good write up in the new " low and slow " sub forum.

Hope so.

And now.... Ben has the entire Noe catalog represented in his collection. :)

We won't tell!;)

I bet it will perform well one way or another.

freebullet :

There are a few I don't have.
Anyone interested in making a
" Christmas Donation " to correct
this impropriety ? ?

I’m looking forward to your report! I bet you can make it shoot like there’s no tomorrow. Best of luck!

I will make a prediction or two.

it's gonna make 311 no problem.
and the gas check shank get's cut out next summer.

as a side note.
if it poured to what the picture says, or even close with straight ww alloy.
I'd buy one for the 7.5 swiss rifles I shoot cast in, that nose would snug in their throats pretty well.
