Yup--that rebated button-nose is a big help with the HKS loaders. Forgot about that.

I have run it past 1200 FPS in 357 Magnum, and it stays accurate at that speed and at distance.

Lymans original load data for this bullet simply said to use std 160 gr cast bullet data. Everything I've tried has worked perfectly.

Guess I am going to have to try to find an old Lyman mould... Not something I can see myself loading tons of, but might be a good one to play with.

It appears that there is a 148 and 160 grain version of this mould that uses the same part number, also there seem to be several U stamped and S stamped ones out there. It is my understanding that a U stamp is undersized and an S stamp is a short casting. So, maybe the S part number moulds are the 148?

That follows along with my mold. About 149gr sized and lubed.

Ben thanks for posting this thread. Lots of good info here. I have looked at wadcutter molds for a while but never decided on one. I believe this one will do everything I’m looking for.

Also thanks for the info on Jim Cirillo. After reading the article I ordered his book along with Bill Jordan’s no second place winner.

Same here. Seating depth compared to Lyman #358311 is pretty close.

While i am not a big user of WC bullets, I do have some of them laying around. Beside the #432s, I have some Remington HBWCs in plastic bags that need to be seated into 38 Special cases and fired off. The greasy black lube they are coated with makes a mess of die interiors in short order. The Hornady HBWCs for little sister's PPC machine are much mo' bettah, as our late friend Felix Robbins used to say. And there are some wide-bodied Lyman #358063 on hand, courtesy of Senor Buckshot. These are .364" in diameter, and are destined for duty in 38 S&W, which I have more of (4) than I have 38 Specials (2). How that happened......I dunno. I take in a lot of strays.

Right after snagging that 38 Reg Police x 4" last year and getting Tale Of The Tape on it, I loaded some of those #063s sized .361" over 2.5 grains of WW-231, seated out a bit. These shot very well, and I should have brought along the Colt Police Positive x 4" as well. It has MUCH better sights than the RegPol. This waits until I get walking again, like a number of other pending matters.
