I bought a new to me mold yesterday!

Thanks to the heads up from another member here. (Thank you Farmboy)

I watched and made top bid (paid too much) on this Lyman 358318 245/250g RN orig designed for the 35 Winchester.

I have wanted it since learning the '315 had a bigger brother.

Its in nice shape and Ill get over the cost paid as I just dont see these come up very often. A buddy who will enjoy a supply of these bullets is excited to try as well.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
the stamped markings are interesting. I wonder if it started as something else or just mismarked?
That's factory. Lyman was notorious for mis-stampings, double stampings, inverted stampings and so on for a while. I think the time period was the late '50s to early 60s, I used to collect them and had some great examples that I ended up selling off during the great mould panic of 2019. For about thirty days people were panic buying moulds on ebay and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I still have a few, but not like it once was. When prices normalized I bought replacements for the important ones I sold at normal prices.

Another panic like that and I could retire...

NOE offer a bullet that looks similar at first glance, the 360-249. Never tried it, but I've sort of considered it. Looks like a fine bullet!
Ughhh! I HATE going there! I keep telling myself I have all I need, but once in a while, there's something I like in stock, the prices can't be beat and his moulds are SO nice.

He has one in stock, plain-base, 4C,...

This would be really cool to play with in the suppressed 357 Mag carbine, cast really soft and PC'd.

I wonder same.

As we know Lyman dances to there own tune and had for decades...

Might drop by the factory one day. They are less then ten miles away and I drive past three times a week going to/from my knee therapy. Maybe someone can elaborate. Might be interesting.

I have seen these just a few times and wasnt gonna let this one go unless its cost got stupid. It went for more then expected but its mine.

I have the Saeco 35-245. It looks like the RCBS 200fp but longer, and I like it. But this is a RN. I like RN RIFLE bullets.

I have that one and have killed many deer with it in my 358 Win.
No deer has ever stopped it.

Thanks Ben thats my intended use!!

Looks to be a fine candidate for powder coat as well. Unlike my beloved 35809....
