yep.
there's a thread here somewhere with powder data and group sizes in both it and the 308 cartridge using the XCB bullet.
CFE-223 works very well in the case, as do a few others in that same powder burn range.

Is Tim still gunsmithing? I know his wife passed about 5 yrs ago, haven't heard from him since. Gear, Ian, goodfellow - gee time passes.

yep, sept for the slow twist barrel.
all i had was a 10 twist i'd bought from someone a few years before. [don't even remember why i'd bought it at the time]
otherwise i wouldn't have even been able to participate unless i sent him one of the 0-6's to cut and chop.
cost me a good 7x57 Ackley rifle to get it done, but it's a hell of a varmint rig on top of being a great cast bullet flinger.
before i decided to do that workup with cast i'd been using the rifle to shoot rock chucks with.

the only one shooting a slow twist was Larry, and i think later Bjorn.
