People are afraid of the truth and as soon as they get a little authority they try to maintain there false reality with there touch of power.
Sorry got myself worked up over that one...

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
That requires something lacking in a great many people Ian, humility. Humility died out shortly after Jimmuh got elected near as I can tell. It was stone cold by the time Albert invented the internet.

I didn't realize how this worked.....

Asked an honest question on another forum last night..... was about the use of non lead solids vs cast. My post got deleted(by moderators)and the OP deleted all his posts in that thread?

No explanation,no nothing..... one of the moderators posted something about a snarky post.... which I assume was mine?

So,for me.... ask a simple question to the wrong person on a forum and it all goes to pieces?
Bah! Trust me, you can get banned without ever talking about politics or religion. I got banned from one place because I defended myself by using the inflammatory (the Mods description, not mine) phrase, "I think I'm entitled to my own opinion based on the facts presented." You can't win sometimes.

some places are super touchy about even a slight deviation from the OP.
comparison or not they take it as an affront to the site. [as in it cuts down on new threads]

I can see thread drift being a problem on a site that has 60,000 subforums and it being annoying when a bunch of people are four pages into a technical discussion and someone blunders in to ask an unrelated question...but to get moderation-happy about it? Whatever. I'm glad it ain't that way here.

4 pages ?

There's a technical thread over there thats like ......... I don't even know any more it was something around 4400 posts and counting about HTC . I read it all at 3600 or so .........I decided paper and greasy wax was good enough for me ........

Sometimes I think we're lucky to get 4 posts without , squirrel ! , Wait , what was I saying ?

Did someone say bunny? My little lab will be on his way. Got home other day & he jumped out of the truck to go kill this one.

sumthin like that.

you'd think after the last 2 million years rabbits would have evolved into faster runners.
just about every hunting/herding type dog I have ever had has got some pretty good exercise chasing down a jack rabbit when we have been out and about.
