Primer Marking & Mystery Item

Noticed a several things at the range yesterday. First is a firing pin impression that has a raised bump from a dimple in the firing pin. It is so regular it would seem to have been purposely added to the firing pin. Identification mark? Second is some kind of a spent device, maybe from a cartridge actuated training device?

Not sure what #2 is but you may be correct about it being some sort of priming cap for a training device.

I recently found a bunch of grenade fuses in the canyon by my house. The same type are also used for smoke grenades. Still, it begs the question of who would be able to get ahold of such things in large quantity and why would they bring them out? Just to hear them go bang I guess.
