I loaded Trevor some 135 gr. MP, gas checked .311" dia. cast bullets with 8.0 grs. of Red Dot for the Remington 7600 Pump.
He shot them today.

About 20 rounds at 40 yards :
Could you shoot like this at age 10 ? ?

Trevor and that Amish Machine Gun get along right well! :D

That 135 MP FNGC is an intriguing design. Have you loaded any into 30/30 WCF leverguns? Kinda wondering how that WFN profile feeds in a lever rifle.

I have not yet.
I have only 1 lever action 30-30.
It is a post 64, Win. 30-30 with a super short ( basically non existent ) throat.
I doubt that this one will chamber unless I deep seat it.
Seems to cycle through my Rem. 788 , 30-30 just fine.

Steep-angled, short, abrupt throating seems to be a design element of many leverguns. Another "Mystery From The Dawn Of Time", like 1-38" twists in 44 caliber rifles. Gunmakers get off onto tangents, and can't be driven away from their quirks without use of high explosives to dislodge their idiocies. JMHO.

Yes, my 1886 Win has no throat. A bore scope shows a 45 deg chamfer on the rear edge of the rifling
lands at the chamber mouth, absolutely no cut down.
And that is apparently why Remington 405 JSPs for .45-70 are a two diameter bullet. .458 behind the
cannelure, and smaller (I forget the dimension) in front to sit on the top of the lands.
The Swiss K31s are the same, GP11 is a two diameter bullet, too. The only throat they have is from erosion.

Trevor wasn't able to shoot with me today.
I changed scopes on the Rem. 7600, 30-06 pump carbine.
I went with a 4X - 12X - 44 mm to offer him a bit more magnification.

I loaded the Lee 155 gr. spire ( SKS bullet ) sized to .310"
8.5 grs. Unique, Fed Large Rifle Match primer.
50 yards.
Trevor will enjoy these.

I think you got that load worked out, and the zero nailed. :D

You could be head shooting squirrels with that rig.

I still say that a lot of people underestimate the accuracy potential of the 760 and 7600 pump Remington rifles.

Many thanks,
Ben
