My grandson Trevor, loves to shoot the Rossi, Stainless , ( Circa 1983 ) , 38/357 Mag carbine. Recently, we installed a 2X pistol scope. Trevor shoots it real well at 40 yards. Not bad for a 10 yr. old.

The load was the Accurate 125 gr. flat point at .3575" with 4.5 grs. of Promo in 38 Spec. brass. 3 rounds @ 40 yards. The load has a bit of " ginger " to it ! !

I am just now discovering the great joys of the 357 Magnum rifle. They would be PERFECT grandkid rifles--a lot more of everything than the 22s, but docile enough to not instill bad habits (flinch). Our girls kept me busy with the 9mm and the 223 when they were growing up, it is a good thing there were no 357 leverguns around back then. I would have been chained to the reloading bench, fed in place, and possibly slept in a bunk in a corner of the garage. Now their husbands/fiancees can supply their ammo habit (and do). The poor guys.
