Round ball in 41 mag

Casting about, looking for a way to burn up some black powder... Anyone use a round ball, over a wad, on top of black powder in a 41 Mag? Not too wedded to .410, a .430 alox'd and sized to .412 would not be a perfect sphere, but the short flat would allow you to taper crimp to it... Wad from where?

A 2-lb signal cannon crafted from about two feet of 2-7/8" drill stem, plugged with a 2-9/16" trailer ball and welded with 7018 rod, will efficiently burn 1/4 cup of black powder at a go.

a wad for a 40 cal rifle would be close enough for government work.
otherwise it's gonna be: champhering a case till it's sharp and drilling out the flash hole, then cutting wads and poking them out.
you'll only get about a dozen before the case mouth gives out.
