Running out of BLL......

I'm not sure this will EVER happen. I made up my first batch about a year ago. The bottle I had it in broke. I had to put it in a new one. The one in the pic. This stuff seems to last FOREVER!!

Tonight I was going through some stuff including a new Lee sizer die for some 44's.

I gathered all my small "Mule Snot" bottles and a 32oz jug of "X-lox" From Lars and heated it all up in the kitchen sink with super hot water. I have a collection of larger Vlasic pickle jars that just happen to have marks in the glass in OZ.

I put all the Alox I had in there and did the math.......

I was once concerned that I didn't have enough SC Johnson no buff floor wax on hand before it became obsolete.

I'm not so sure that I have any worries.....

My first batch, that I'm still using and have BARELY used any of it, still has like 15oz in the bottle.

I put all of my 40oz of Alox in my pickle jar and then added 16oz of floor wax.

I have barley put a dint in my first bottle of lube over one years time. The first bottle will probably last in the neighborhood of 5-7 years for me.

The pickle jar used ALMOST the rest of my FIRST can of floor wax. I still have one more new can.

I don't think I have any worries.

On a side note. I just got that 6 cavity Lee 148gr 38 WC mold. I'll be using lots of this there along with 3.5gr of BE.

I hope the pickle jar is plastic. Hate to see you drop it and rustproof your floor!

That should last a long, long time.

BTW. That line on the small bottle was from when I made the first batch in Nov. '15

I wish my money in my checking account lasted as long as a tall bottle of BLL.

I think i have 10 cans of JLW on hand and i was a bit concerned just how much BLL it would make, but after seeing your pickle jar, i feel a lot better about it lol.

"I'm running out of BLL!!" said no one, ever, after making their first quart.

I'm still working on the first [successful] test batch of 45/45/10 lube ever made.
