I have been watching and wanting. I have a "hole" in my 35 cal bullet section. I dont have a 250. (Still wont).
This one appears much alike the Lyman 358315, RCBS 210 & MP 358-220 in profile and we know how good these are!
I would have liked a RCBS 250, but these are not so commonly found for sale and grabbed quickly when they are offered. I saw this Saeco this am on flea bay and grabbed it. 60$.

I have 2 #352, one is 3 cavity GC, the other os cut down , GC removed and cast a little over 200grs, 35 Winchester Model 95, 357Max H&R Handi, the 250gr one is a little long for the Max, just got enough brass to try the 250 in the model 95
the cut one shoots better in my H&R than the Lee RCBS copy

my H&R was a factory .357mag, with a very long chamber/throat, used 360 DW brass till we opened the chamber with a .380 reamer to maxi length, shot a local Sil. match Sat, 19/20, we shoot on an IMSHA range at 50-200yds...the cut down SAECO shoots, not very hot, 7grs of AA No.7

Well... after a bit of Agita.... I have the mold today!!
I quick cleaned and heated it up. Only culled ONE SINGLE BULLET!! I cast up 60/70 in WW with a bit of lino, and 50-60 in 20:1.
I powder coated everything thinly as its a GC designed bullet.

Both Sage Gators and Hornady GCs are loose and almost fall off the base!!! These are powder coated!!! So If they where not, the GC wouldn't stay on the bullet at all.
Nota. Huge issue for me As Ill simply PC normally and it will be fine. But what would ya donif ya didnt Powder coat!'!??

Here is the Bullet (Punkin Spice color)

The second pic is a 350 Legend with this Saeco bullet and a Hornady SSP. Seated to 2.255 & 2.250.

I'd lap the gas check shank.
Not exactly sure how to effectively lap, JUST the shank... But with next / official cast Ill try regular powder coat. These where coated with product I know is thin and usually needed for a GC bullet. They will USUALLY snap on with a couple taps. The 359-220's I did and coated Sunday where a good example of how I like a GC to seat. I press on as square as I can, tap, tap, tap and ya can hear the change and see the check in seated and square. Just taping the bullet on a flat chunk of steel welded to my riser just for that use.
A couple of these, even with the PC would not stay on at all! ALL are on after running thru a .3595 & .356 sizer. Immpretty sure just a reg coat of PC (.003 .004 ish) Will "fix" this. For me. Ill drop a note in the die box... for the "next guy".

take a bullet.[one of those ones that fit the checks]
chuck the nose up in your cordless.
put some lapping compound on the shank.
spin it around in the mold holding it closed.
even if you only get .001 and call it good your better off.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I will!!

Let me see if I can find the LEE 200 stuffed into a 357 SIG case!!
This is a Lyman 358430 in that 38 S&W case.

Hoping the mold arrives today!!

That was the old "Super Police" load for the 38 S+W back in the day. Anecdotal evidence suggests it worked much better than the wussy 146gr factory RN. I have the same mould, but it's a little much for my Smith Perfected model. Always wanted one of those Webleys or a K frame Smith 38 S+W.

Or figure out what size you need and see if you can buy a reamer. A single reamer in real common sizes can often be had for a few bucks if you are patient.

I'd also try annealing the checks. That seems to help IME with loose shanks.
