Years ago , I had Buckshot HP a .35 caliber, SAECO # 353 for me.
The mould is a double cavity. One cavity remains a solid, the other is Hp'd. The HP weighs 168 grs., the solid weighs 180 grs.

He did a fantastic job ! It shoots real well out of my two .358 Win. rifles, my two lever action 357 / 38 Spec. rifles and ( as you'll see below in the photos ) also shoots well out of 38 Spec. revolvers and 357 Mag. revolvers.

I cast about 100 or so this morning.
They drop from the mould at .361".
The HP Pin goes all the way to the crimp groove.

Ben's photography is SUPERB.

This SAECO #353 looks like an interesting design for the 357 Magnum. Its weight of 180 grains in its standard form AND its thick rear band conforms to my idea of what a revolver bullet should be.

Its GC sibling is the #354, and is what I run through my 357mag carbines and a 35Rem 336. There is a similar NOE, but it has a wider meplat.

That load of unique your shooting certainly looks like it should hold up at the longer ranges. That would be a nice, easy on the shoulder, deep woods Alabama deer slayer.

This particular style ( the # 353 ) runs through my 38/357 mag. carbines like water running though screen wire.

Yes, I also like the thick base band.
Not so easy for gases to skirt around the base on this one.
When it is sized properly , it is accurate and leaves the barrel clean after firing many rounds.
