Question on reloading it.
Now I have a lot of 10 mm brass that I picked up range find. About 5k mixed but the Numbers are diminishing as I sort. Looks like I am going to end up with a out 2 k of good SPP Brass.
Most of it happens to be CCI Blazer 10mm small primer brass.
Apparently that's what the fellow, that does not have a Glock. And I have been picking up after, for two years, likes. Have some large primer Ten, but they all have Glock bulge so far. Or have been trampled.
Anyhow got to cleaning and checking it. And have been doing load research.
Seams all load data I have is for Large Standard pistol, CCI or Remington primers.
2 questions ....
Do you think these will be good enough for at least 5 loadings?
Should I use a regular small primer or a magnum?
Ps. Ok 3 questions.
Do you need to trim 10mm?

When I purchased my 10 MM carbine, I picked up a box of CCI Blazer 10 mm ammo that had SP primers to try it out before I started reloading for it. I have a good bit of once fired SP primed 10 mm brass now as well because I have a lot more SP primers than I do large.

I don't load to max pressure, and I've used the same load with both SP and LP primed brass with no issues or no noticeable difference in accuracy, To date I've cycled through around three reloads on the same brass and have yet to have to trim. In general, most individuals never trim semi auto pistol brass.

Like Tommi said Emmitt, I'd be very surprised if any of that Factory loaded brass was actually bulged. What's your probably seeing is just swelled brass. There is a definite difference and just swelled brass that was fired and say a early Glock chamber. Can safely be reloaded, but you probably would like to run it through a bulge Buster die but do your due diligence. And monitor your brass because if you do actually get Glock smile brass. That brass is toast and should be thrown away.

This is examples of garbage ruined. Glock smiled brass. You can see a distinct line where the brass has begin to sheer. What do you likely have, is simply brass fired in a generous chamber, and it is safely reloadable.

As for small primer brass, it's just that. Load it and use it as normal. Don't give it a second thought. You may see a difference in extreme temperatures but overall it's simply done because a large primer is not required and small primers are more prevalent, and as you know, for a while were the only primers produced. If you are gonna load heavy loads for some reason, I recommend the purchase of brand new brass large primer and keep it segregated. I load a fair supply of full house 10 mm I use my range brass as well as brand new brass. I use brand new for the heaviest loads for the specialist of occasions. Otherwise it's just range brass and shooting 200 grain bullets at 1200+ feet per second they've taken a number of loads without any problem . A 10 mm is an expressive cartridge but it's not any different than any other. "magnum"as it pertains to brass.

Are you going to hot rod them? Most 10mm nowadays are loaded down to regular 40sw. You should be able to get a lot more cycles than 5 if you don't push them. The mag primer might depend on the powder you use.
My powders are H110, Long Shot, and W231.
My plan is to use up the Longshot. As I have about 5 lbs that is getting no use.
But I will be loading 175 grain bullets, mostly to the first accuracy node then stopping.

I do plan on developing a full power 200 grain "Hot Rod" load to keep a 100 or so around for occasional use.
I suppose I probably should use large primer brass for those?

Thank all you guys for your input. It is greatly appreciated.

Along the same line , the last batch of 10mm brass I picked up there was about a hundred small premiered hornady in them.

I was just out at the range. Left a few small primers on the ground I lost myself, picked up enough of someone else's to replace the ones I lost, not a large one in the bunch.
Did find some 45 acp large primer though.

Just got 100 starline 10mm, so I should be able to do a few +p to have when I want.

double check the flash hole diameter in those small pistol cases.
they been screwing around with those green primers long enough now that you don't know what load they done at the factory.
i'd use the bigger flash hole cases for the 40 loads.
