Yeah, I had a spare key to my van but no spares of all the other keys on the keyring. Luckily I keep my house and shop keys on one keyring and my vehicle keys on the another.
boy oh boy, glad you got 'em back.
I use to keep everything on one key ring...learned a lesson in the 1990s.
since then, I have everything on it's own ring...and backups stashed in the house.

Boy what a day, just run, run. Real T 1- 11 is Down to 36 bucks a sheet, locally think I will wait another week or two and see if it bottoms back down to at least 30 bucks. 8 bucks can make a big difference when you need 11 sheets.

In other News just had a very bad experience on on other forum. Joined just to ask a question. So joined, started a thread, next thing you know a big argument breaks out the fellow I believe was most helpful and stayed most in line with answering my questions was attacked. The thread was moved to another section which pertains to the massive drift it took and not my original posted question. To make it worse, now my posts, questions are now all being hidden and held for review. And I was in a good conversation with two of the fellows, learning a lot before it happened. ☹️ To keep from breaking any rules here I will stop there.
Makes me really appreciate you fine fellows.

Been busy tying jigs and scuds for a family trip to Tanneycomo and Branson in the near future. Tied #14 and #12 scuds, 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 oz jigs. Never know how much water will be running, so need a variety of sizes. Hoping to get the Grandsons into some decent trout

This morning's range session was a 10-shot, 100-yard, 30-caliber mould shoot-off.
Remington 03A3, 2-43 dated four-groove barrel, box-stock but for the Timney trigger.
RCBS 30-180-SP 13.5-grains Unique
Lee group buy 310-41 16.0-grains 2400
Lyman 311284U 16.0-grains 2400

Today's winner was the 311284 with a North/South of .8 something something" and an East/West of 1.160".
By now I think you all know about my vision, but with iron sights and those numbers I left very satisfied.

There will be future shoot-offs, and the 308291 will be included.

My local friend and occasional shooting pard brought his 16-power scoped .223 Howa mini-action (first time shooting his handloads). He had a very nice five-shot, 100-yard sub-MOA with Sierra's 77-grain HPBT and an un-remembered amount of H 335. He left wearing a big grin.

Brought home this month's Highlights magazine and read it with my daughter, noticed the ice cream sundae photos were by our very own JWFilips!
i couldn't read the name but mentioned the photo's to Littlgirl the other day and she took a quick look.
she was like you retard those are by JW.
I was like well,,, I told you I knew the guy... LOL

the trip down to salt lake went pretty well.
the burn Doctor took about 3 minutes of looking and said whomever gave him the first aid done a good job, and then took most of the little edges of dead skin off.
didn't bother bandaging anything back up again.
so basically keep it clean, keep it out of the sun as much as possible, and let the skin toughen back up.
I waited with the Baby out in their little open area in front of the check in area and seen some hurtin for certain people gimp in and out of there.
[in-between nearly every nurse that come by wanting to see her]

the fishing trip went some okay but I didn't get to go to any of the spots I wanted to fish.
we actually ended up shore fishing some lake areas, but just like around here, you had to beat down the brush and work your way over/around the rocks.

I explored a couple of spots of the lake I haven't seen yet, but they weren't worth a crap for fishing, nor during optimal fishing times.
we went down and fished the river a few times in different places and I caught a few this and that fish on every trip down there.
[pretty much everything other than a trout or a sturgeon]

John, certainly one of the handsomest Shepherds I've ever seen.
Smartest dog I've ever owned. Pity we had to put him down just short of ten. Developed an uncurbable/un-operable auto immune disease of the spine. At the end, he could barely get up but still wanted to play catch with a frisbee.

Mostly what I'll be doing today is sulking. Sue and I have both come down with something. Don't know what, and I think I am already on the mend and I only first noticed symptoms Saturday late afternoon. But, Sue is pretty miserable. Raggedy ass cough, headache, and draining sinuses. I heard her moaning in her sleep last night. I woke up once and she was actually shaking like a leaf. I went and got her another blanket and she played the throw the blanket off, pull the blanket on game the rest of the night.

I'm sulking because I have to cancel the cast bullet shoot. From my point of view it will be much less work and worry, but there are some guys who are stuck living in urban areas that look forward to shooting sessions out here at Thorn Hollow for the whole year. I am so lucky that I can saunter out the back door and shoot. I have long periods, some times hours where no traffic drives by. My friends and I can take our time, shoot, BS, swap and sell, sit around a camp fire, eat awesome food, have a drink all without having to pay a fee, ask permission, worry about offending anyone, or breaking any laws.

Some of my shooters were already packing their trucks, making a list and checking twice, calling me to ask what could they bring? Good questions like, "You want another bag of cheese curds?" "Was that Bulliet Rye?" "The George Dickel, was that 12 year old and do you need some more?" I had a fish fry planned for Saturday night. I have been trimming weeds around the rails and painting targets. Sure I can take advantage of that work and shoot at my leisure, but boy howdy, I am going to miss my gaggle of good fellows. Shucks!

Sometimes we need more options than a thumbs up "like" to respond to a post......sorry you and your wife are under the weather, but I can appreciate you missing the comradery of your friends getting together and enjoying the facilities you have built up. I guess what I meant with the "Like" was I feel your pain.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Started doing that in my early 20s when I was in law enforcement.
And always, always, ALWAYS carry an extra key to the Troop Car!!!!!!! Had to leave them running for the lights and radio and that means you had to lock them a lot of the time. I only locked myself out once and that was more than enough for me. I know guys that did it at least 3-4 times a year!

Been raining here for a couple days, we sure needed it! SWMBO had Gord and I start on the new fenders project for the Wrangler. Now she wants to know when it will be done. "Ummmm, hon, it's outside, in the rain, and every bolt an screw on it is either rusted or galled and takes 10x as long as normal to get out." Impatience is one of her chief skills...
