Damn man, a double!
I have never done that. I am impressed.

Then again, you may have an infestation.

Today I installed a ceiling fan in the back porch, the windows face east for morning sun. I've installed 5 in this house in other rooms in the last 4 years. I never thought about installing one in this porch, until a recent rain storm...it was very hot and humid as the storm came in and I was in the porch watching it and wished I had a fan. I think I'd use this porch more often (during skeeter season) if I had a fan in there.

Gotta take the wife in for eye surgery tomorrow.
Doing a retinal peel. Don't ask, cause you don't want to know.
Will have to have it done on the other eye in two or three weeks, then cataract surgery in each eye. One at a time Total of four surgeries. Medicare will cover all of it, but damn, four surgeries!
Glad it's not me. They don't have enough people to hold me down!

mickey mouse got like 5 airc.

got some serious wind going on here, nothing like east texas has, but we are hitting 40 mph often enough.
looks like our temps are gonna be dipping into the 20's the next few nights.
I'm gonna make the effort to cover stuff up tomorrow, but I'm not really holding out any hope on too many things surviving.

I've had the cataract surgery done on both eyes and it is kinda scary when your going to have someone cutting on your eyes, especially the first time but the bottom line is.

Best decision I've ever made, a total game changer and so worth it.

Geez, fiver, you guys really need a break in the weather. Hope Spring comes your way
one of these weeks.

And Hawk, best wishes for your wife. I have had several eye surgeries, and that sounds way
more "interesting" than mine. And "interesting" surgeries are not necessarily a fun thing, although
thank Goodness that we can have such modern medical miracles, even if we complain a bit.

Not so long ago, you just went blind, and now there are many options.

I ran the rowing machine for 15 minutes, about all my knee "enjoyed", and then mowed
for about 2 and a half hours, trying to get a bit ahead before I go on the "injured reserve"
list, so to speak.

Epiretinal membrane peel, not fun, but if her eye MD has the latest equipment they do it with two holes now instead of three and neither hole is bigger than a 30-gauge needle. Silicone bubbles help a lot during recovery too.

Both my parents had something like this, I am pretty sure. Air injected to "splint"
the retina. The water level in the eye was low enough to cause issues for a while
until it refilled.

BUT, both had great outcomes.

It used to be face down in a pillow for six weeks but the silicone gas bubble and reduced invasion for the vitrectomy and peel and shortens recovery time significantly.

I'm used to it being rough up here, but this is too extreme.
we have twice now we've had 70+, 1-2 week day time stretches followed by below freezing nights for 2-3 nights in a row,,,,,,, in June.
