They did make a rear-steer for a couple of years but I thought it was the 2001-5 body style.

Just got back from Austin (seven hour round-trip) where we saw a high-risk pregnancy specialist. Wifey has had bouts of contractions requiring hospital monitoring and intervention with six weeks left to go and baby has had a sudden growth spurt putting him literally off the charts for weight, size, and amniotic fluid volume. Good news is nothing is really wrong, i.e none of the concerning things that can cause this are present, he's just a big baby. If he makes it full term (he almost certainly won't) he would be over ten pounds.

We are hoping for 12 more days without complications because after that we'll be able to deliver at our preferred hospital with our own doctor. If he starts coming before that we'll have to travel to San Antonio where they have an infant ICU.

Ian, I'll be watching for news on your Mrs. and son. As you all have probably figured out already, I'm extremely into being a parent. I believe we owe everything to our children and they in turn will owe everything to theirs.

With the exception of the lathe and mill, got 90+% of the machine shop packed into a rental truck today. Will get more packed tomorrow. That will include about 500-600 lbs of lead.

California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
Been getting used to carrying the Glock 27 (IWB) in public and the initial self-consciousness that is probably normal. Does it print when I walk, or bend over? (Is that a gun you're carrying? No, it's my colostomy bag.)
Ordered some larger waisted pants and will have to get some larger T-shirts, too. I've worn jeans and T-shirts my entire life, so going with outside carry and having to wear button or Hawaiian-type shirts was a non-starter. (I hate Hawaiian shirts . . . tourists and overweight people wear them, or someone who is carrying.)
Also ordered another holster style to try.

Now that Summer is almost over, our warmer, less breezy and non-foggy/overcast Autumnal weather is about to start. Yesterday was 86* and today was 88* and both days were too hot to do the outside work that I'd planned. Did make a trip to the locally-owned garden center and bought four six-packs of annuals for hanging baskets and a little under-window bed. The selection was sparse, so Sunday we'll see what Home Depot has to offer.

yeah winter in September.
I dunno how it goes down your way but a coat/jacket is in fashion all year round where I live.
it's taken for granted there is one in the car or truck when a kid wants a nap or you need something to put over a window, or if the wind changes direction in July.

we got snow laid down in the high elevations out of that last storm that blew through, it was only 6-8 inches but there it was.
it doesn't take much for another storm to roll in behind this little cold spell and make it a permanent thing.
that's probably why most transplants only make it through one winter.
Yeah, winter on i80 can be during any month.
Some transplants moved into an old gas station (1950s vintage) on 212 in se Montana and fixed it up and put up no parking signs along the highway 2 years ago. The next winter was a rough one. It's now vacant and overgrown with weeds again. I'm guessing the idyllic country life didn't match their fantasies.

I was kinda wondering if you had a 'inventive' mechanic.
"Looks like the right encatric prefabulatir is completely shot, gonna need to order a new one. And they have been getting pretty expensive. Not making them any more."

Grin.

I have that book. Used it to guide me in making better ammo when I was shooting high power competition.
Lots of good stuff in there.

It's gonna be the next book...

Too much tolerance on the bullet/die ID here. Not busting on Wilson, just sayin..... get no more clearance then it takes to keep the CB from sticking. But these are VG "study" for DIY efforts.Screenshot_20190914-073555_Gallery.jpg

When my encatric prefabulators crap out, I just wire around it. Not really needed, IMO. Overrated. :)
Not worth the money.

They shoot groups that have to be measured with a micrometer, so Wilson dies must be fine the way they are. You have to realize that Lapua brass, sorted and neck turned, sanded, doted over like a new puppy, fired in a precision chamber, and resized very little is not going to have the concentricity problems that mass-produced rifles and cheap brass have, so the lack of positive neck support matters not to a 6x45. Besides, you really cannot support the neck in a meaningful way when seating the bullet....even if you limit any off-center neck stretch as the bullet is seated, the spring will still be there when the cartridge is withdrawn from the die.

99 S15 2wd that has rocker panels held on with bungy cord Nut case on RoadKill might want it!
Ian, hope all goes well for her and a 10#r. That's not really that big. NICU is not fun.
462 - try those 'dress' fishing shirts at Academy. Kinda like Hawaiian but no print designs. Other problem is if your waist is larger then hips. Draw an IWB and your pants fall down - wait is that the 'banger' look?
She got her DL renewal notice, birth certificate required. Gets on line and some out fit charges 40$ to take YOUR info and send to state, plus the 17.50$ Ne needs. Got the form for her, sent it and ID off to Ne DMV. Record Co. stated they would remit the 40$. Hosp. cert. isn't enough, no passport, need an official state one. Hope the hosp. in Madison has the records. She asked me how I got mine - well security clearance invest., passport, had to send off to state for one. Does take a couple weeks. Oh, documented her ancestors here from the 1700s.

yeah that's the one.
I opened it and flipped through it the other night.
I could see where I highlighted some paragraphs here and there years back.
probably would have got caught up in re-reading some of the highlighted stuff but it was already like one in the morning and I didn't wanna go look for a pair of cheater glasses.

did some minimal yard stuff yesterday.
took the A/C out, picked 3 more cabbage, cleaned out about 90% of the Beets, picked through the carrots and got a pound or two, most of the green beans are in.

I should probably bring in the eggplant and eat them too, there won't be enough heat from now on for them to do anything.
the peas are still popping up enough for a snack of 8-9 everyday when I wander around out there.
the strawberry's are starting to get annoying at this point, I don't even like them that much but have to eat about 20 a day just to keep up.
still waiting on the raspberries, the lower ones are coming, but the tops are where all the berries are.
the peppers and summer squash are hanging on and if we get a little more night time temps I will wait them out.

now I'm rooting for the winter squash to get going.
they keep wanting to grow the fruits inside the fence panels and i have to keep pulling them out losing them in the process.
there is probably 300' of vines growing out there, I just need some squash on them.

it's been an interesting year and I think I have some plans that will make things better for next year.
