I'm trying to find some data for the Barnes TSX 85 gr. in 6mm with IMR-4350. My manual No. 3 does not show the TSX bullet.
Do they have a newer manual that has this data?
You can't see the data in a new manual and I don't want to buy a new manual that doesn't show IMR-4350 data with this bullet.
Wolfe loaddata.com shows the same thing I have.

SNIP...

Never touched a 30-30 believe it or not.
I've never shot a 30-30, but I did handle a few of them over the years.

When I was very young, like 5 or 6, My dad swapped for a New 30-30 levergun, I suspect it was a Marlin? but he didn't have it long enough for me to remember much about it, as he swapped it away fairly quickly for a shotgun, cuz he didn't like the levergun.

Guess what he originally swapped?
A chrome 1898 Krag 30-40 Parade Gun that he won in a Lottery style giveaway from the local American Legion post, when they upgraded to M1 Garand's for parade duty. The story my dad repeated to me many times ...everyone that wanted one, put a dollar with their name on it, in a jar...Dad's name was drawn first, so he got first choice.

I've checked the Barnes web site and they don't list IMR-4350 with this bullet. They do with their 80 gr. TTSX, but not their 85 gr. TSX.

My first 30-30 was when the kids were little. Picked up a Win M94 Ranger on sale at K-Mart. Put a Lyman receiver sight on it and started casting with a 31141 mold. I loaded with 3031 or 4895, depending on which I had on hand at the time, to around 1950-2050 fps. That rifle never shot under 3" with my cast or factory loads, even when I put a scope on it to make sighting easier. I took several deer with it over the next few years, really made an impression on me how well it worked on deer with cast loads. Sent it down the road when I started working with a couple varmint rifles with excellent triggers. That M94 took two hands to break the sear.
My 2nd 30-30 didn't last long, bought it used while knowing the end of the barrel was rusted from sitting in the closet in a wet gun case. JES cleaned that rust out when he bored it to 38-55. Got a Skinner Express peep on it and a fiber optic front sight. Really accurate now, but it takes a little more lead for each shot than that original 30-30

Recovering from yesterday. Church, soccer game, then taking care of GKs and their dogs. Dang things weren't happy last nite, kept her & me up most of the nite. Then take mine to the groomer by 8 this morning. Kids are in Jackson on animal safari (driving around) and saw the 399 grisley with 4 cubs (normal is 2). Saw moose & others but no wolves. Guess 399 stays around civilization where the boars don't so cubs survive. Shoulda sent my 60x spotting scope with them. Dang fingers don't even work this keyboard very good this morning.

No joy on trying to find a Barnes manual.
Everyone is out of stock. Every Barnes doesn't have any!
I sent them an email, but nobody has responded.
Did I see in another thread where Sierra bought them out ?

Decided to part with the Malibu. We need something with air that my wife can get in and out of easy.
So did a safety check. The only non-greaseable ball joint that I put on the car 5 years ago, when I rebuilt the front end, Was going bad. Everything else I had changed was ok.
Belt on edge of one front tire was thru. Other side wear was even but thin.
Changed out a lower A arm with ball joint, on the Malibu.
Then spent half the the day chasing the elusive 215/60/r15 tires for the front. Finally found 2 used ones that match.
While dealing with those issues I caught a few other things.
Brake hose had sucked shut on the front, causing the caliper to stick, caught that while working on the A arm. Wore the shoes and warped the rotor just a bit.
Also anti lock wire on the other side, had been caught by something and ripped . So fixed that.
!!!Anti lock brake light is off for the first time in 6 months!!!
Had saved Old rubber brake hoses (they were good but got new ones in the front brake kit), and the old shoes.
Put the set of old shoes from the last brake job, 5 years ago, that best matched the wear of the other side, and the rubber hose I had saved. Still has a slightly warped rotor from the hose issue. Gravity blead just that one wheel. Got lucky, so did not have to get the wifamatic out, to pump the brakes. LOL
So, still a slight brake pulse but they are good and firm, Rotor is plenty thick, and the antilock is working fine.
!!!Anti lock brake light is off for the first time in 6 months!!!!!
So I just put like a days work and $175 in a car that I will probably end up selling for $800 to a kid who would not have a clue about it being bad if I had not bothered. But being a front end, safety issue my conscience could not let me sell it that way.
Of course since it has not been aligned in 5 years and I just did replace the lower ball joint. Guy down the road has an old Uni Liner. May have him just do a quick check for me, make sure she is in good enough so the tires I just put on will last a guy a while. He owes me one so should be a freebee, unless he has to adjust, and runs into some major issue.

I find a lot of Barnes All copper bullets shot on my range ...Many different calibers.... All I know is.... They come out of the berm and they are pretty fierce looking! Somebody really did their home work on making copper bullets expand at an alarming rate!
When I find the big 44's + There is a lot of copper to salvage

Got outbid on evil bay. Wound up being more than the cost of a new manual.
It never ceases to amaze me that people get to bidding and pay more for a used item than the item costs new.
This one sold for $28.00 plus $6.00 shipping. New on Midway was $23.99.
I know its out of stock, but it's not a collectors item..

I'd been eyeing the Frankford Arsenal hand primer since it was introduced, only because the Hornady hand primer will occasionally re-flip a small primer cup-side-up, so I bought one and it arrived yesterday.
Well, wouldn't you know. It had the same problems as the units that received 1 and 2 star Midway and Amazon reviews. After all was said and done, it worked (if I held my tongue just right) to seat 17(?) primers while ruining six in the process.
I bought it from Amazon, so tomorrow I'll drop it off at the local Kohl's, for credit.
