I'd been eyeing the Frankford Arsenal hand primer since it was introduced, only because the Hornady hand primer will occasionally re-flip a small primer cup-side-up, so I bought one and it arrived yesterday.
Well, wouldn't you know. It had the same problems as the units that received 1 and 2 star Midway and Amazon reviews. After all was said and done, it worked (if I held my tongue just right) to seat 17(?) primers while ruining six in the process.
I bought it from Amazon, so tomorrow I'll drop it off at the local Kohl's, for credit.
Bummer it didn't work for you. I have had zero issues with mine.

Been splitting firewood today.
Now I'm sitting in my recliner, sipping a Scotch, while the wife fixes dinner.
Life is good!
COULD SURE USE A SPLASH OR TWO OF CUTTY, or Highland Park. After todays adventures. Or at least some Aleve, a cold beer and a shower.
Alas no alcohol in the house. Woe is me.:(

Yep, despite its bad reviews I really wanted it to work.

Larry has several design flaws that need to be corrected to make it as user friendly and reliable as the Hornady or Lee hand primers. I've no experience with either model of the RCBS hand primer.
The case slips into the shell holder from the wrong direction (against gravity), and needs to be manually held in place. What happens to my hand if a primer were to go off?
The primer ram does not align with the hole in the center of the shell holder, which causes the case and primer to cant and destroy the primer.
The tray does a poor job of flipping primers.
The primer sleeve spring, despite its very strong tension, still doesn't hold the shell holder in place.
The design of the primer sleeve thumb piece lacks sufficient purchase and leverage. A ledge on its lower section would be an enormous help.

On the positive side:
It's zinc body is weighty and has a good heft.
It feels good in the hand.
It is well built.

it's that time of year.
our Deer hunt starts in like 12 days, the grouse are starting to move down off the ridges, and the Trout fishing is picking up.
I wasn't gonna bother deer hunting, but once again the SIL took a few days off work so now I'm kinda obligated to take him.
he thinks I have some out of the way honey hole picked out just because I'm always out wandering around the hills somewhere.
I try to tell him all the deer I been seeing have been moving down into private property since September but what do I know?

Mind said cool out, need some yard work. Body said nope. So I'm thinking - caast soem? npe got all I need for now but I did find some 185gr RD that needed GC and PC. All 110 done and ready to load. Now to find the cases and see if sized yet. Yup, jug already primed. Now, how fast do I want to push them. Hmm. Decisions. Tried to convince her that COLD sweet rolls sugar doesn't count, only when they are warm and yummy. She don't believe me!

Been getting stuff together for a trip to Colorado elk hunting. I didn’t get a tag but son, son in law, his brother and my older Grandson all got them. Well setup base camp at the trailhead and they’ll go in with a spike camp on horseback. I’ll stay at base camp to look after things and run errands. 1st rifle starts a week from Saturday.

Been putting in extra shifts ,96 hrs in 12 days . It's supposed to be 2/12s and an occasional pick up .
Yesterday and today were the weekend this week , off at midnight doesn't really agree with me especially back at 8:00am-4:00pm the same morning .

Ms Mom called late last night about 10:30 , sick , lotta pain . We took her to the hospital it seems like her pancreas is causing problems . Got home at 0200 , had to be up at 0700 to make a 0930 appointment for Ms , a follow up for her wrist work .
I'm beat , MIL is going to recover but will probably be an inpatient for a week or so . Pancreatitis seems to run in the family , Ms sister has it also but has kept it in check for 20 yr .

Really tired .

Not Marie--it would be ON, like Donkey Kong. She would secure the coolest, fastest-cycling, fully-automatic Nerf gun she could find and make my life a living nightmare. Of that I have NO DOUBT.

Bad end to the day, but at least I got some exercise.
Washed and swept out the Malibu. Took the car on a 50 mile drive to check out my brake and suspension repairs.
On the way home, 5 miles from the house, the alternator went out. Called my buddy he came got the wife and kid. Called progressive. After 20 min. on the phone, got a fellow with a middle eastern accent, who I could not understand.
Waited 4hrs on a tow truck never showed, I am in Ohio getting towed 5 miles. Found out they called a guy in Pennsylvania to tow a car from a street with the same name in Pittsburg to Oklahoma ?o_O Then reported I drove off.
So walked about 5 miles home. Phone went dead. As soon as I got home they texted me saying a truck was going to be out there in 60 min. So I jumped in the truck and rushed out there. Here their system has a maximum wait of 60 min. So when they scheduled someone for 7 am the system told me an hour.
Guess I am going to bed now And getting back up at 6:30.
I had driven that car at least every other day since I had it. Wash it one time.

Having fun is a lot of work. One of my best friends is down here for a week while my wife is on her annual vacation with her cousin. So far we have hunted squirrels without getting any good head shot and saw over 20 between us. Steve had more than 40 turkeys march past him as he sat concealed in one of my elevated deer stands. He said he could have gotten a better count but was distracted by two of the biggest white tail bucks he has ever seen live in the woods working over a scrape 50 yards away. Enchilada casserole for supper and off to bed by 9. I had already taken a 1 mile saunter around the prairie and down to my far .22 range, and back down the logging road to the house, before I drove 3 hours to get my .25-20 back from my gunsmith friend.
Then Tues. morning we cut up the old, rotten, deer stand ladder with a Sawsall and disposed of the debris in a neighbor's dumpster. The carved out two popple sauerkraut mashers on a shaving horse. Next we drove over to the Mississippi and fished for 6 hours in a raw NW wind and spitting rain and came home with enough yellow perch and bluegills for tonights supper. Having filleted those and disposed of the debris, we had bean and shredded venison burritos and apple crisp for dessert.
In 5 minutes I have to leave to go qualify for my H.R 218 recert with the Sheriff's Dept. I'll hurry home and commence to having more fun.
