Re-boxed all my reloaded ammo into all the plastic ammo boxes I have bought/been given over the years. No more ragged flimsy old paper boxes. Kinda nice. Wile the move has been a ROYAL pita, it HAS had its upsides. All my relaoding/casting/etc is now VERY organized, AND I KNOW what I have. Been doing a lot of inventory work as well. No more buying dups, at least for maybe 2-3 months! lol!

At the new place, I don't have a dedicated space, and have had to fit the garage for multi-purpose storage/wood working space/reloading. One of the big issues is/was how to manage my lead stash. Still only about 1/2 of it moved. And a good bit of it has to be "mobile"/movable so I can put it somewhere, yet easily (yeah RIGHT!) move it around for a multi-use space.

THINK I may have solved the problem. I was going to build a custom wood box and place on a doll, then realized I had 3x old ammo cans/boxes sitting stacked. Perfect combo. I bought a "skeleton" wooden dolly at HD, then beefed it up. Closed in the open space with 3/4" plywood, then put a full 3/4" plywood slab over the entire dolly surface. Then just put the cans on top and filled with lead. They JUST happened to fit nearly perfect. Now I can move the lead around if I need to get to something and not taking up a bunch of dedicated/dead floor space. Prob have to build another one for some of the rest of the stash. Only thing I plan to add is a pull rope to make it easier to move around (vs pushing it).

Cast for the first time in over six months. Fired up the RCBS Pro Melt and cast a few hundred RCBS 45-270-SAA Bullets. Powder coated and sized to .451”
These will be for my newish Ruger Bisley Blackhawk.
I’m thinking 8-10gr of Unique for a nice mild load that still hits hard with a 280gr bullet. 9FE59970-AFCF-406A-9CAC-0ADF17944C89.jpeg

Waco - if ever interested, I would love to mold swap with you to cast a few of those to try in my 45 Colts. Have a bunch to swap, maybe a Saeco 453 225 WC mold? Who knows.... Think about it.

Is that the clear powder coat that lets the bullets still look like cast instead of lip stick?

Nope. This is a silver and mate black mix.
I sure wish I could summon up the ambition to try that. Tumble lubing was a big step for me. And bear fat and tallow, and horse tallow, and deer tallow, and mutton tallow, and beeswax, man, that all makes perfect sense to me. I even have some steam cylinder oil and Sperm Whale slickum.

Just bought 150 rounds of Winchester 115 grain 9mm fmj, at Farm and Fleet.
$40.
Ben wanting to get out My js9 but was down to 100 rounds of the home rolled powder coated stuff. No pistol primers or pre primed 9mm brass left.

So, Yes I bought store bought ammo.

Just hope the old Beemiller don't choke on all that copper after it got used to a steady diet of lead.

Absolutely beautiful wheelgun. Is that the one with 3.75" barrel and shoots 45 acp as well?

Actually, Buckshot brought over 3 rifles--the two aforementioned examples plus a 1909-made 1886 lightweight carbine that is IMMACULATE. It is a re-blue, but nicely done and had pristine bore. If I make it to age 112, I hope I look half that good. Not much other news of note, other than some info about a range site that might be worth a look-see this week.

Went to Lowes a few weeks ago for a 2x10x10 pressure treated for my trailer. I left it right there in the rack at the store, wouldn't even pick it up lest I bruised it or something. $38 each. Can't express how delighted I am that I am not in the middle of a house build right now.

Just in the finishing stages of an addition to our home; I swear this little room is costing almost as much as when we built our house and is about a 10th the size.

I haven't worked on our little home addition in nearly a year. Got it to the point of needing wiring, insulation, and drywall and quit. Probably can't afford to finish it now.
