Star die and punch rack

I have been thinking for quite a while about a rack to keep my Star dies and punches organized. Now that I can make punches to fit a specific bullet exactly it makes even more sense.

Took me some thinking on how to lay it out and get the right settings for the DRO. Somehow it all worked out right.

I need to decide if I want to drill the wall bracket for magnets and put it on a steel drawer or drill it for screws to attach to the wall.

Punch and die gets a dedicated recycled prescription pill bottle. Use a grease pencil to display size on the cap.

Only downside I see is that it would take 8 or 9 of those to hold the star dies plus 2 or 3 punches for most of the dies.

This will likely get used for 44 dies.
More than anything this was a learning experience. I can picture things in my mind but until they are in my hands in metal they are just a dream. I learned a bunch about locating holes and calculating what needs to be where for it to all come together.

Sometimes the end product, of a project, is not as important and the doing it. The fun factor should not be overlooked, neither.

Exactly! Not much different from trying a few new loads just because.

And, at least for me, I am always learning something new. Sometimes THAT is way plenty
reason to do a thing.

I store mine away from dust and air circulation. I made my die & punch holders from wood years ago. Nice job on the metal one, looks good.
