I built a DIY brass catcher to catch 9mm brass from my new Ruger 9mm Carbine.
It attaches to the side of the shooting bench with one hex head screw ( I take a cordless drill with me to the range ).

Here is my grandson Trevor giving it a good work out.

Modified a E&L Enterprises brass catcher, that I also use for my AR-10 carbine, for my CZ Scorpion. Walking around model.

Bought the brass catcher, many years ago. Don't know if they're still in business. They were located in Eugene, OR.

Slides under the sight mount, to hold it in place. Also works with a 4X conventional scope in QD mounts.

Thanks ! !
He has come a long way.
He has turned into a pretty good shooter.
Soon, I'll have him reloading and casting.

I thought Eufala was well south and east of you, but wanted to hear it for sure.
I have stopped for fuel with my aircraft several times at Eufala, sad to see the airport and aircraft
destroyed, and the town looks bad. What a tragic loss in human life.

Not often we have that many dead from tornadoes these days. The news made it sound like they had little warning.
At least we have basements in Nebraska. I know many parts of the country do not.

It was a pretty rural part of Alabama, but weather officials say that all warnings were issued.

I have a Caldwell brass catcher but usually just hook a ball cap over the scope turret. Works great for the field as I usually am wearing one. Doesn't interfere and if they drop they are at your feet. The newer Caldwell is set up for AR rails. I stiffened mine with coat hanger wire.
He still isn't taking his finger off the trigger between shots. Hard mental habit to break but necessary.
