Rick, How do ya'll sneak up on anything, I think I'm wider than those power poles. Sure do love my trees and mtns. here in N GA.

I dunno, I live where I do largely because of the trees. If the trees weren't here I wouldn't be either. I'm certainly wider than those poles these days but a large part of my life I could have hidden behind one.

100 yd is just shy of 3/5 the distance between poles or just over ....... Snow markers are at 528' and I think transmission and tele poles are also . If not they're 264' . Except at line changes , curves , or peaks that elevation requirements need different spacing .

To answer Loren's question...It's raining a bit now.
Go check out Grafs.
They got some powder in...

I bought a pound of Unique at my LGS today for $37.29 + tax. He had gotten a bit of powder and said primers would be in next week. But when I had gotten my breath back he said only shotshell primers.
But by golly it is a start.

I sorta sense that the flippers have peaked and maybe are in retreat, which might be another way of saying that the consumers have come to their senses and collectively told those parasitic bar stads to pound salt. If this cycle follows its usual schedule, by late this year a lot of components will be in stock and prices might subside to reasonable levels. Mind you, I'm not holding my breath here--but I think we have turned a corner.

it does seem like stuff is popping up more frequently recently.
oddly stuff like powder is coming up and not on it's normal seasonal schedule, it's like someone is opening a warehouse and dropping it all at once.

LGS saying he is getting partial backorders from last year. Nothing big but dribbles here and there. He is a small one man operation, but the bigger stores should be getting some also.

My usual supplier has online catalogs updated daily (Phillips Wholesale in Covina). No primers at all (imagine my surprise), 1 size of lead shot (#6), and a scattering of 1# powders by WW, Hodgdon, IMR, and Alliant.

Stopped at a larger regional gun store on the way to my Dad’s yesterday. They had CCI LPP and SPP on the shelf. They wanted $150.00 per k. When I confronted the guy at the counter about the price gouging, he gave some limp excuse that they had changed hands multiple times and they weren’t making hardly any mark up on them. I’m not buying it.

I am seeing powders and reloading dies and ammo (9/38/45/223) show up the last wk or so. Affordable? the powder and dies were, the ammo not so much. 9's were $40 per 50 rounds with at least 10 different brands. All the 38 and 45ACP was Federal. Slowly getting there.
