Sent to my by a female gearhead friend. She rebuilds Triumph motorcycles
and cars. She asked me to repair her grandfather's 1911 from WW1 (NOT 1911A1).
I did and suggested maybe she shouldn't shoot it quite so much. Advised her to get
a Ruger SR1911 and a Ruger 22/45. She did so, and shoots both better than before.

Here is what she sent to me.....

A LOT of women certainly know better, but this is STILL funny.

At least she added oil? And motor oil to boot, not cooking oil.

Sadly, there are a LOT of men who DON'T know better.:(

Sent this straight to my daughter. We have a deal going - if I buy the fluids and filters, she uses my garage to change her oil, do a chassis lube and rotate her tires - and do one of my vehicles too.

The best part of it is that when she does it, I know it was done right!:)

As a requirement for my kids to get their DL. They had to first learn the basics. Tire change and check for PSI / fluid check and fill.
I can gladly say 2 of my 3 still does this regularaly. At least #3 has had to learn mechanical skills. She can change a faucet/ toilot / washing machine with the best of them.

That's what I did also Kevin, be able to change a tire, check fluids etc. to keep the car going or no driving. Especially important for the girls, sitting out at night someplace with a flat tire waiting for the wrong guy to come along is just not a good game plan. Change the damn tire and get going ASAP.
