California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
Nicklaus built a local private golf course and club, and sold building lots to people who built multi-million dollar homes, as part of the project. Pasadera. It's all located less than 1/2 mile from the world renown race track, county owned and operated rifle and pistol range, and the law enforcement range. It was fun to hear and read of the rich homeowners whine and moan and cry about the noise. County said shut up, suck it up, be a man, or move, the track and ranges were here first. Well, it did say the last part.

Speaking of golf, I'm glad that's over with for another year. The absence of spectator clogged roads and streets was greatly appreciated. There are some benefits to the Chinese flu.

Slim Shady knows all about 8 mile.

It would appear that there is one amongst us who has knowledge of the 17 mile. A place that has a beach with tiny stones.

I used to mow grass and do maintenance at a golf course part time a long time ago. Met Jack Nicklaus once it was his golf course I was working on. Very polite respectable fellow.
That’s a cool story, I would love to meet Jack! Got to see him and Gary Player tee off at The Masters in 2005, Jacks last year he played in the event.

Golden bear club Windermere Fl. Memory is kinda fuzzy but 1998ish.
Was preparing the course for a tournament. We had everything done, accept for picking up.
They had just had a promotional thing in the club house.
There was a lot of food left, so he went out personally on a cart, and told all of us workers that we would finish up, wash up a bit in the shack and come to the club house.
He had the caterers stay over, paid them extra on the side to remake the tables, and serve us a sit down meal.
Then sent us home with each a share of the leftovers. He went around and talked to each one of us individually at least some before he left. Impressed me a bit.
