Took an old friend to the range today

Back in 1959 I bought this Marlin 89-C magazine feed 22 lr. No telling how many thousands this thing has digested, especially during the summer months. It's been 9 years since I last shot it. Oiled it up and off we went. Great memories of youth. Avg 1" at 50 ft.

Nice!
My .22lr, a CZ455, has been gathering dust for a while. My focus has been on my cast bullets. The last couple of range trips, I’ve brought my .22 as well. I had almost forgotten how fun it is!
And, I must admit, it is kind of relieving to just sweep up the empty .22 brass and throw them away- no work required before the next range trip.

Nice Cherokee 22's are certainly fun!!!

Just picked up a CZ 455 American that came almost new, but still in the box. Can't tell it's been shot at all. Mounted a 4x12 Bushnell that was in the draw collecting dust. Hope to get to do a little shooting this weekend.
Had my eye out for a decent bolt gun with good wood, the CZ doesn't disappoint.

Now I have a nice bolt to go with a couple of 10/22's and one fine Remington model 12 pump.

Looking forward to have target challenges with my I Laws on the 100 yard range. Targets will range from shotgun shells, golf balls, like the golf balls, not only a challenge, but they really take off, empty cans and clay pigeons.

Golf balls only real purpose is for target practice. I enjoyed playing Blackhawk golf till the range stopped it.
