Webley “Senior” .177 pellet pistol

Well hidden in the back of my safe is this old Webley I’d forgotten about. I’ve never used it, but it’s a nice clean piece. I believe they were made from 1935 to 1964. So I basically know nothing about air guns anyway. My intention is to find about what it maybe worth so I have a value for trade. I’ve finally talked Dave, up the road from me to part with his Savage 23D which is in beautiful shape. Not only in almost new condition it has a factory peep/receiver sight. I haven’t looked at the rifle in about 3 years so need to get it in my hands and see if it’s as nice as I remember. That was supposed to happen today but I got Covid 2 days ago. Go figure.
Anyway any help with putting a value on this little Webley would be helpful.

.22 or .177?

Last one I saw sell went for ~$300 IIRC (2022, local gunshow). Earlier version--boxlike grip--cosmetic condition not as good as yours, and non-working. Sorry, not much of a data point.

It’s a .177. I have not even tried to fire it, I’m sure a good cleaning and lube would be in order first.

IIRC, Webley had a target velocity of ~420 fps for most of their pistols; one that has seen a lot of years might go 350. Back when I was seriously shooting flintlock smoothbore pistols (with international competition in mind) I practiced about 50-100 rounds a day from a Webley Tempest because the follow-through needed was even longer than the pistol I usually shot!
