Just because someone makes something doesn’t mean there’s a need for it.
Companies don’t make products to fill some need. Companies make products to make MONEY.
It is called retail marketing. Even if it is something that is needed on a daily basis, marketing is geared to persuade the consumer to want "that" brand, version, or service. I don't blame Remington or any other company. I doubt that there is likely not a single person here that if it were his business wouldn't try his to market quality needed or even novelty, (in the eyes of some) products and/or services in order to be successful.
A single SWC mold for wheel guns, or a TCFN or RN would meet the basic needs 99.9% of the time. 22LR, '06, 375 H&H, and a 12 ga will cover everything that walks, crawls, or flies. How many of us only have 4 long arms, or 1 mold per side arm? If we don't need something, they do we buy it. Coke, Pepsi, RC, Dr. Pepper, 7-Up, boxers, briefs, M70, M700, M77, 19, 586, 686, 27, 28, Lay, Pringles, Ruffles, blondes, brunettes, redheads.
