2 o'clock and the weather radio just sounded a tornado warning for the southern end of the county. John, Smokey and myself are all in the northern end of the county. We did get 1 3/10 inch of rain in an hour and a half.

Went to Fayetteville this morning looked like it was going to rain on the way home ......drove through 30-40 mph wipers on high clearing about half of the sweep to 5 second pause as far as Ft Smith .

WOW! That much water out here sells for $1300 per acre if you could get it here.

The overcast and gloom got blown out this morning, and it got to 87* while Marie and I were out and about at mid-day. The forecast for quals day in La Quinta is for 106* temps on 5/1. What unalloyed delight. Today was gorgeous and warm, though. I'll take it.

Missed the hail storm this time, 2" overnite rain. She went to GKs soccer game @ 8pm, called @ 8:30 on the way home - lightning. And they cancelled the game so make-up game gets made up again. Another round coming from Ian's place. Rain train just keeps on coming. Roofers are out canvassing after last Fri hailstorm, will be all over west of here tomorrow. 3 more bushes to pull, gave up yesterday, may need the farm jack rig a guy made to get these out. Worse than the last one I pulled.

Low of 48* this morning, and expecting 84* by 1500. Got the sprinklers and irrigation systems up and running. Light winds coming from Montana down slope and bringing a few high clouds from eastern weather systems.

Arkansas has rain but they aren't sharing. Since last July 1 my area's rain total is less than 7", but its yearly average is 18" to 20". The state's two biggest reservoirs, Shasta and Oroville (RCBS), are either half-full or half-empty.

The acorn theory says the drought will continue till at least the Winter of '23.

Well I guess the new eleventy-bazillion dollar Oroville spillway will continue to be high and dry.
