Cool and overcast today, just like yesterday. 59* right now, supposed to make 73* later. That will only happen if the clouds burn off, which didn't occur yesterday; 65* was as high as it got. Not going to grouse about the coolness and cloud cover, it will be 100*+ in a month.

god damn weather buttholes only missed it by 20 miles again.
no rain, partly cloudy they said on the computer.
enjoy the day, do some yard work before the rain later this week, he said on the TV.

yep, get out some expensive 2-4D and roundup all mixed up and spray out 2-1/2 gallons of the stuff,,, and it rains,,, well? rains,,, between the gumball sized hail and the dime size hail that followed it.

if there'd have been at least been a 1% chance of rain I'd maybe give them a break.
but you gotta be kidding me.

Rained off and on today. Got soaked when I bicycled to work this morning. But it has cleared up nicely. I have to use up some “use it or loose it” vacation time. So, the boy and I are riding the WSF ferry out to Grandpa’s house for a week of fishing. Here is a photo I just took off the starboard side.

It’s ling cod season right now, that’s the main draw. We will also be targeting cabezon. And there might be some fishing for rock sole and sand dabs.

Never heard of rock sole, but we like our local rock cod, ling cod and sand dabs.

Rock sole and sand dabs are about the same size. Both flat bottom fish. One is a right eyed, the other is a left eyed flat fish. They are unrelated species, that look similar (ambush hunters that have the same camouflage pattern) and taste the same (they eat the same diet), and fight well above their weight.

Great day today! Started out partly cloudy and 50ish but clouds blew in from the Gulf of Alaska. Started to get rain about 1100 and still sprinkling at 1800. Weather post says we got 0.15", the first rain in 77 days. Shut the irrigation system off for a couple a days and that will save me $2.00 a day. Love rain, in moderation!

:)

Two days of steady and cold off-the-bay 25 gusting to 40 winds are scheduled to die down tonight. Otherwise it was sunny and 59.

More rain again today.Half of the plants in my garden are dead from waterlogged soil. It has been the wettest spring in my lifetime.
