Working with gas checks for Idiots.

I make my own aluminum GCs in various calibers using 7 different Freechex II tools. I have compared them on targets with Hornady and find that they are just as good. They do go on a bullet shank looser....but often that is beneficial. Using thicker aluminum makes them be tighter.

Update
Ben a while since I put this thread up. Came up in my alerts. Since then I have tried both aluminum and copper Sage gas checks on my bore rider in the 06 with faster loads.
Had great success. No longer working with that gun or bullet at the moment. Just thought I would update. Looked like this thread was just hanging there.
