WTB 38spl designated wadcutter brass

New WC brass is availble but with shipping is a bit pricy:

for 50 peices you are looking at about $0.61/casing
for 500 it's a little better at $0.36/casing

At $28/box of 50 loaded rounds plus shipping of $16, it works out to $0.88/cartridge but that's loaded ammo.

That is the most expensive route but you do start with loaded ammo. I've loaded S&B WC brass and it is good brass.

^^
@LEC Guy is correct.
I sent an email to Starline about 10 years ago or so asking if they had ever considered making a run of 38 Special "Wadcutter" brass.
I received an answer from Hunter Pilant that said their 38 Special brass is wadcutter brass.
There is no taper in the portion of the case where a full wadcutter would be seated to.

Like LEC Guy, I have never seen any case bulging when seating wadcutters in Starline brass, and I shoot a lot of them.

Looking for 50-100 pieces of original 38spl designated wadcutter brass.....
I have (1000) W-W 38 spl WC yellow brass,
and (500) W-W 38 spl WC nickel plated.
I believe they are once fired, they "look" in excellent condition, but they were bought more than a decade ago and I don't remember the exact details. 10¢ each, $12 shipping.
Honestly, I don't know if 50 or 100 is worth the shipping.
Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Jon If I send you a check for $22 I'd get 100 pieces of W-W yellow brass?

I've been tempted to buy about 500 new Starline 38 Special casings and just squirrel them away but something else keeps eating up that part of the budget.
