two crimp grooves to allow for different seating length depending on rifle and or brass ie leverevolution brass which is shorter due to length of the gummy tip bullet.

I like the look of those loaded rounds. Should be good for anything that needs shooting.
Tom makes some of the absolute best moulds. I have a couple by him and they are an absolute joy to cast with.

You done good.

I will be getting more from him I am sure. They looked like art when I opened the box. Tom is definately a craftsman who takes pride in what he does

Wait til you get one in brass from him. OMG are they beautiful. MP makes some very fine brass moulds too but Tom is so fast and good with one a kind stuff.

Those are gonna be great killers.

Brass holds heat much better but is a bunch heavier. I have developed a fondness for brass moulds despite the weight.
Brass is heavier than even iron.

How do brass molds hold out with heavy cast bullets? Do you have to be more careful of heat then with aluminum?

Tempo is different but not more important. Brass generally needs a slower tempo but I use a small fan and timing along with watching the bullet appearance to determine how things are going.

A recent purchase of a Ruger #3 in 45/70 prompted me to order a 460-405 FN mold from NOE

Nice NOE makes some nice moulds.
I bought the lyman m type expander plug from them for my lee die and it made a world of difference in cast bullet seating, worth the 6$ spent.Been looking at the RG series the you can cast both HP and FP bullets from.
look forward to seeing some cast up
