First of all. Harbor Freight powders are said to be epoxy powdered and not at all same as the polyester base that most use.

Yes Blk from them was said ta cause issues. But these powders are problematic for most users and best avoided by beginners.

Just steer clear and avoid common issues.

Go with Smokes first because he has fielded these and know that they work with our method's.

Eastwood has also been very good.

Look up paper brightening and clay content of paper .

There was a toothpaste commercial long ago that showed that if rubbed long enough it cut through Rolls Royce black lacquer all the way down to bare metal with a soft toothbrush.

In about 1930 it was determined that the life of a 30-06' barrel was 30 seconds , .007 sec at a time or 10,000 rounds of the ammo of the day .

I'm a casual shooter and have fired 10k each of 45 Colts and 12 ga . Nothing else comes even close to that count from me personally. Aside from the shot bridge line in the BPS there's no appreciable wear in either one . The environment that I hunted the BPS in had significant amounts of DG dust all the time unless the was precipitation happening.

yeah I said and use Smokes not harbor fright just asking do the black ones have a problem?
No HF Black was a
Said to be a problem.

I have a half dozen black powders I haven't seen them any different from any other polyester powder.

Something to remember. Folks LOVE to condemn and complain but seldom Proclaim and praise.

Believe 1/4 of what ya read and 1/2 of what ya see! Trust but verify.
