Been randomly testing cast loads developed for the CZ Scorpion carbine, weather permitting. Found one this AM that is acceptable.
From tent blind, seated with camera tripod for front rest, at 60 yards. Using 4x Simmons (44 Mag riflescope) for accuracy testing.
Bank of targets, shot this AM. Two different powders (AA #7 & N340) each with two different grain loadings. Both styles of bullets are from NOE gas-checked molds. The first two targets are 130 TC, second two are NOE 136 RF. My recovered bullet alloy, from backyard range, of around 15 BHN.
Really, like the carbine. Have shot 145 rounds, 50 rounds of 115 Blazer RN jacketed, before switching to cast. Ran 95 rounds, of four different cast bullets, without a failure to feed or fire.
The borescope shows no apparent leading.
