recently I have been doing more fishing and less shooting and such.
I put the big boat away and have bee using a 15' aluminum boat rigged up with a foot controlled trolling motor to chase small mouth bass and walleye's around a lake just south of my place here in Idaho.
the fishing has been picking up pretty good the last week or so and I have been out every chance I get.
I got home from work Monday morning and was going to take the wife out for the afternoon when the youngest called and asked what I was doing for the day [which meant she wanted to go fishing in my boat]
anyway she brought her new husband along so he could get a taste of fishing out of a boat.
as the day progressed he started picking up on what we were doing and how to change his technique as the wind and terrain changed [and why I keep 4 fishing poles rigged up in the pole holders on the side of the boat]
now here is how I could tell she was my kid.
at one point he broke a hook on a lead jig head when he got caught up in some rocks.
he reeled in his line and changed out the jig head.
and I hear her voice from the back of the boat say.
"you better put that in your box and take it home so dad can melt that down, you know I make balls for my revolver out of the soft lead."
I almost fell out of the boat I was laughing so hard..
