Yeah...wouldn't work with Sugar, my buddy here ...I swear she can count & can tell time, she knows that 4 pm is supper time .

Before covid/cooties retired me, I was working virtually and our older cat knew when my breaks and lunch was. Anything beyond 5 mins late and he was in the office fussing.
Our current younger cat is just under 18lbs and is on a diet. Vet says he needs more play and exercise, ok, so when it's time eat I toss a kibble across the kitchen floor, that lasts about 3 kibbles. If it were a treat he would go back and forth all day. That's like only taking one cookie at a time.

She knows! I get twice the looks of adoration. Her ability to tell time, as in meal time, rivals WWV (NIST radio time broadcast). We get the wet cold nose nudge if we are late.
