Does anyone have an idea of what years DuPont used cans with this color scheme? Just trying to date some powder I inherited.
Thanks!Old Dupont Can.jpg

Not sure I have any like that but I have quite a few old cans I will eventually make a display shelf for. Guys say they are collectable, not sure about that but they are neat.
Collectable doesn't mean valuable. Common 1800's cans are less than $20.

I have been told that these metal cans replaced the cardboard cans after WW2. These were common paint and chemical cans developed for the war effort. Also the "Du Pont Improved Military Rifle Powder" was discontinued in the early 1950's with the IMR 4320 becoming the prominent part of the label. FWIW

That's me, wasn't looking to get rich, I just wouldn't throw something away if I thought it had meaning to someone. I'll eventually get them in some kind of display.
