Remembering our FALLEN MEMBERS

I would like to start this thread in HONOR of the members of this forum that have passed but will not be forgotten. Please tell us who you have shared good times, good memories, or added to your enjoyment of this sport. The man I will never forget is Bret 4207. As usual he was complaining about how busy he was, and I posted that maybe he should take a few days off. That went over like a lead balloon. He was too busy to take even the afternoon off. Just wish I was close enough to go help him. There are many posts he where explained his work schedule for the week. How he had the energy to do all of those things by himself is mind boggling. But he never gave up. I did not realize what his history was and the things he had done for his fellow man. We should all be more like him. Please add someone who you enjoyed on this forum and have good memories that you will always carry with you.

California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
Life can be cruel, and sadly Steve was not able to enjoy his retirement for very long. That he wrenched for the same dealership his entire career says much about the man.
I was the recipient of Steve's generosity . . . twice. Unfortunately, the number of the first Lyman mould has been forgotten but it was duly passed on, as well. The second mould, a single-cavity 452374, was passed on, too, and has an Oklahoma residence in its future.

I wasn't acquainted with Sendero, but enjoyed his informative postings.

As for Bret: What can I say, other than how much I wanted to help him with his farm work.

This is a hard one for me. I have lost so many friends. I have people on this form that I respect and admire. I have befriended a Vietnam Vet who is in poor health. He use to cast so Now I cast for him. I go visit him and take him to lunch.(he is 2 hrs away} If each one of us would buddy up to one of ours on line friends it could have a big effect on there lives.

Bret and I shared a lot of back and forth. Some of it private, some public. What was private was Always kept that way between he and I. We prayed a lot for each other. I have missed him greatly. Like a brother.
I wanted to go up there with my boy this spring, take my camper, or rent a small RV. s
Stay a few days, and help him get caught up on some things. Was looking forward to meeting him face to face. Unfortunately never happened. To little too late. :(
