Kinda hate to ask a stupid question, especially when I am darned near 100%
certain it is a stupid question. . . . . but. Is there any reason not to make that brass out
of 7x57 brass by just expanding, trimming and fire forming?
I didn't follow the original .30 XCB thread at all closely, but it seems like it was a shortened
.30 cal, based on .30-06 brass, intended to feed well in actions designed for the Mauser
whatever x 57 actions. Seems like the 7x57 would neck up pretty easily, BUT since
a lot of smart folks aren't doing it that way, it has gotta be a stupid question.
SO - who throws the first rotten tomato?
