Usually I see them going into and out of the WalMart store.
What is it with WM and Bigfoot?
I was in there one day, several years ago, and I kept running into a guy who looked like he was trying to look like me. Every time I saw him, he was looking at me like I was trying to look like him. After about 13 mutual sightings, I tried to ditch him and still finish my shopping. Caught me in produce. I relaxed, let myself get penned in by a woman who didn't look like she ever ate a vegetable in her life, which was suspicious in itself.
He started talking to me - about Bigfoot. "There's some around here..." Told me where he lived what acreage he farmed, told me he saw Bigfoot on a RR track frequently and that Bigfoot always just looked at him and casually turned away ad walked off into the woods. One day, when he went to pick up rocks in a certain corner of his field, he got there and all the rocks were already picked up and stacked just inside the tree line. As he snooped around a bit, he found that several VERY large cut stones from a defunct bridge abutment had been moved also and stacked neatly near the new bridge. He was sure Bigfoot had done it.
That guy bent my ear for a long time before I cut him off and told him my frozen foods were melting in my cart. No idea WHY he chose me to confide in and am not entirely sure it wasn't set up as a joke, but I saw no trace of anyone I knew smart enough to set that up. I've never seen this guy again since that day, but one of my students told me he saw me talking to the guy. I asked him why the hell he hadn't saved me from that one-sided discussion! He said we was a little creeped out that I and the other guy looked so much alike.
Neither I nor my "twin" could be mistaken for Bigfoot, by the way.
Oh, and I've never, but I would use the 357 revolver for deer if I were shooting at about 50 yards, if I had one with a 6" barrel, but I don't. Won't hesitate to use the 18" carbine if the opportunity arises, and maybe press it to no more than 100 yards. That would be with a 180 grain WFN at about 1700 - 1800 fps from the carbine.
Bigfoot? No. Doubt it'd be necessary if he's as docile and thoughtful as that guy in WM was trying hard to convince me. He was as serious as he were talking about the soil condition or how his cows were doing on his farm.
