My grandson goes through a lot of these.
Today was a good day to replenish the supply.

That Trevor!

Don't know how deep that box is, Ben, but if those bullets aren't at least foot deep you ought to keep casting.

I cast up a box like that a few weeks back... My buddy in VA took a liking and off they went... I need cast more myself. :D ;)

The only #358446 I have any experience with were 200 or so samples I got from a member on the old board c. 2009. I ran them through a couple 38s and 357s, and they shot well for me. I like that "Fat bottom drive band on plain base bullet" design spec VERY MUCH, and my current Lyman #358429 has some design poetry to it--fat center band and skinnier front and rear bands. It may get retired in favor of some better SWC design, or a round flatnose with a lot less lube capacity than the usual Keith SWCs come with. Bear grease and hog tallow are passe.

Is that Kid doing any reloading, casting yet ?
I was pulling on a press handle long before I pulled a trigger.

Beautiful bullets, Ben! Perfectly timed sprue cuts, and perfect fill-out. The workings of a black belt master caster. Have fun with them! I hope you get to shoot some, too :)

Waco:

I'm with you.

If we don't get young people ( hopefully many of them ! ! ) into reloading and shooting , well........ you know the rest of the story.

I don't know that I've touched on what a (purple font on)" tight close knit family I have " (undo) . This afternoon while killing time in my 6×8 observation post I talked to a young man , about 39, (that's depressing) and hats been loading on a single stage for about 10 years and bought a XL450 last summer . He quized about primer buying a while and then we moved to other things ........he's my nephew and when I started writing I was thinking he was younger than that . His kids are 10,8,5 now so there is hope . 4/7 of my grands shoot , not actively like Trever , and the older girls have some passive interest in reloading . Unfortunately of the 7 there are 4 girls in giggley boys aren't totally icky , hey that one's kind of cute 12-16 group ...... The other 3 are 5-7&9 and the 9 yr is on the other end of the country just the one boy and he likes bows so there's hope .
