Ive tried it in 5 handguns and a 1894 marlin,,total dud.358156 and 358429 will make it look silly.Your experience is the polar opposite of mine using #358477. It has been the bar-none best bullet in every 38 Special I've ever owned, every bit as good as #358429 (heresy, I know). It gets more use in a couple 38 S&Ws with narrower throats these days. My 38 S&Ws range from .359" to .363", as poetic as 44 Specials/Magnums and 45 Colts.
.357What size do yours drop at?
I have 2 ideations of the #358477. The Lyman 2-cavity drops 92/6/2 alloy at a few tenths over .359", and the 4-cav NOE drops it at a few tenths over .360". In unalloyed lead, the NOE castings are right at .360". These all-lead bullets are used in 38 Special @ .359" and 38 S&W @ .361". In the Special I have run them at 900 FPS, and zero leading..357
