40 S&W

We have had to adapt to ongoing component shortages for the past quarter century, and Herco does a lot of good things that we have relied upon for Unique for a long time. Gotta be flexible.

It's the one powder I've never allowed myself to be out of and don't plan on ever being out of it in the future. I have economical, useful and practical Unique loads for everything I shoot. Granted, I'm not shooting a really wide variety of cartridges any more, but the ones I've kept HAD to be able to use Unique.

I have the odd pound (or so) of several other powders and I won't be getting rid of them, but I've focused more on keeping Unique on hand in t he past fifteen years or so.

Herco should be a very good 40 short powder.
BE-86 looks almost like it was made for the cartridge, and it overlaps Herco or Unique depending on what is sitting on top of it.

BE-86 will eat the begezus out of powder coating.
It may not make a difference in performance, but it does eat it.
I attach a plain base aluminum gas check when I use it on PC'ed bullets.
