41 Mag killed the Steel Target

My Local Home improvement BOX store had this "Large caliber steel pistol target" on sale for $12.99
I brought it out to the range yesterday. From about 60 feet, I emptied one mag from my Ruger American (45acp). It spun the targets like a windmill in a hurricane...never needed to be reset.
Then, one shot with the Mod 57 ...ended my fun...the hit was upper/center on the plate, that WC must have really transferred a lot of energy.

Dang! That didn't last long! Nice looking smith! What was the wc load you were using?

Large caliber? Maybe they meant 22 mag?

I have a few 22 RF silhouettes. Threads of the animals have a hole thru them from Khornet shooting, imagine this, a k hornet with cast. A 225438 at around 1500 fps was more than they could handle.

The 45acp just removed the paint.
The 41 mag actually made a indentation into the steel plate, about .020 deep.
But, the targets aren't suppose to spin, they are to only swing up and catch the Bar, then when the top target is hit, it releases it (reset).

Realistically, I'm thinking these targets will function good with 38 Spl and light weight 9mm...or any powder-puff loads of any caliber.
