Last couple have short changed a few of us my friend. But we are here, we have faith family & each other!16.0-18.0 x 2400 shot well for me with the 236 grain monster. It cleans up well sized to .325". We shall see what the Ian Alloy casts at soon.
After 6 months of dialysis, my body is beginning to accommodate the 3 weekly oil changes pretty well. It will be nice to get the missing elements of my former life back. 2023 has been a very uneven year at my house.
May or may not help, but . . . I once had a Yugo re-worked K98k and Yugo 24/48 that had the barrel and receiver filled with cosmoline and was seemingly unfired. Both shot Lee's C324-174 extremely well, the K98k with 13.0 grains of Unique and the 24/48 with 13.5-grains of the same.I have a m48... really good condition, and shoots great with rem185gr psp. I've heard that certain 8mm cast won't work with the tight Yugos.... any suggestions fro. The peanut gallery that arenm48 specific?
321297my 700 is well it's what you'd call cut for jacketed bullets.
the best fit i've found for it so far has been an Ideal single cavity mold meant for the 32 Winchester.
i don't know the number for it since it's about 20 miles away at a friends place.
I don’t have this feeding issue with my K98, but my Type 99 Arisaka needs a pointy bullet to feed well from the left side of the magazine. The NOE 323365 sized down to .318” works just fine in that rifle.New here so I will say "Hello" . I'm long time caster, been knocking around other cast forums for years so I thought I'd sign up here. I like old mil-surps and am working with the 8mm as we speak.
Working with a 24/47 and a scoped M48. I have the Midsouth Karibiner, it would not feed out of one side of the mag. The flat nose hit the end of the barrel beside the chamber. Tried different seating depths but nothing changed. I cobbled up a reamer and turned it into a round nose and feeds fine. It ended up 245 grs. formally dressed and ready to dance. Has anyone else had these happen. These rifles do pretty well with several molds and are not to fussy. I found too light a load does cause the cases to to become shorter.
