A bit happier today

I've got a Handi .444 that I picked up a while back that needed a bit of work, the hinge was shimmed with electrical tape, the forend floated with the same. Bubba strikes again! Anyway, decided to mess with it this afternoon using some 2400 at 18gr. pushing a 252gr flat nose from a Lyman 429244 that I converted from a HP and using GC. Didn't have much time so only loaded 3 which went into a 3/4" group at 25 which is where I always start. Gonna drag the chrony out tomorrow and work out the ballistics as best I can. Lubed these with the modified BLL that uses turps, this bottle had evaporated and gummed up, I added more turps and had to warm the bottle to liquify things again so the exact mix is probably off, still I had no sign of leading. Will work on this some more tomorrow. GW

the solvents don't matter except to hold everything in solution.
they just evaporate and leave the waxes behind no matter how much is in the mix.
