Your brother is doing well with the editing. Can he shoot that well too?

Yeah. Seeing yourself on video makes you realize all sorts of things! Try giving dialog directly to the camera sometime and review it, if you haven't done so before it can be pretty embarrassing. You have very good timing and technique, this should be mandatory watching for anyone on the tube posting "how to cast bullets" videos, most of which should really be titled "I just got a Lee pot and mold and am trying to learn how to use it in this video".

Thanks for the video, now I FINALLY understand the technique for getting those non-tapered, binding, sticking horrid NOE alignment pins to work...just whack the hell out of the handle hinge three times, voilá!

None of my three different BLK rifles would come close to chambering that bullet unless the front band is down inside the neck, the ogive is too fat at the curve for a .300" bore, and I must size .3095" or smaller to get the front band in the throats. Keep that in mind if you choose to get an AR, Walter, you'll probably want to switch to the dreaded Lee bullet and powder coat them so they're big enough to shoot.

I hate most videos but, this one was OK because it was short, to the point and showed lots of good technique.

my AAC needs that 'slightly undersized' [barely makes +309 on the drive ripples] LEE mold to even chamber a round.
I have to use it in conjunction with regular cases too.
I tried a batch of LC converted cases and they will not chamber with anything over 308 diameter and have another .001 for bullet release.
.310 will not even chamber.
[I really wish this neck clearance was cut in the XCB rifles like we asked for]

in the Ruger .310 is probably too small, but shoots well enough, and does so with the L.C. cases.
mine [was mine now is the wife's] has accepted every 30 cal. mold and case combination I have tried in it, and I really like the stock dimensions.

I've been pretty happy with this little Ruger. It does like a soft primer I have noticed. Fed. and S&B seem to work well. CCI....not so much.
I'll get the occasional ftf.

Nice technique! And I sure wish I could move that fast.

Could you get your brother to do some editing for Elvis Ammo? And maybe FortuneCookie too? They could really use that kind of help.

Lol! That's funny. I don't mind long videos if they keep you interested. I'll watch a longer video if there is a lot of cool shooting or something like that going on. The last thing we want to do is bore someone to death with a lot of repetitive stuff.

I told my brother that a casting video needs to be kept short and to the point.
I think he is doing a pretty good job. Me. I'm a computer retard.

if your doing it right casting is about as boring as it gets.
fill count open dump fill count open dump fill count open dump fill count open dump.
3-4 hours of that and your counting to 7 in your head for the next 3 day's.

I should also add that I like your use of the Fort Rock photo. Seems most appropriate in a bullet casting tutorial.
